Historic Building Appraisals

Historic building appraisals provide a useful understanding of the history and significance of a building or site. Appraisals are often required as part of a planning or listed building application; PPS5 requires a suitable evidence base to be provided so that the significance of the asset and the impact of alterations can be assessed. Archive research, historic maps and information gathered from a site visit are all used to produce a comprehensive appraisal.
